Aussies in NBA: Ingles looks ready for the season ahead
Joe Ingles had some great moments in today's game against Portland and is looking ready for a full assault on the 2015/16 NBA season. Although Utah eventually went down to Portland 81-88, Ingles filled the stat-sheet with 8 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.
Ingles was looking for his shot and although he only shot 37% from the field, his energy was great as he was looking to create for his teammates. The Jazz struggled mightily with their shot all game long and really shouldn't have been as close as they were to the Trailblazers for the majority of the game.
Ingles played 20 minutes and in that time had a +/- rating of +8, second only to Elijah Millsap for Utah. Even with Utah struggling to hit their stride, Ingles kept trying to keep them in the game with his shooting. He was able to drain a couple of treys, with his first of the game coming in the second quarter after Meyers Leonard clearly didn't read the scouting report and gave Jingles some space.

Ingles was solid on the defensive end, and it will be interesting to how this facet of his game improves throughout the season. There's no doubting that he will compete on every possession, but his speed does catch him out.
At the end of the second quarter Ingles helped keep the Jazz in touch with his quick thinking which resulted in a Gordon Hayward basket after a long outlet pass from Jingles.

The Jazz have 3 preseason games remaining before the real stuff starts in just over two weeks against Detroit.
