Aussies in NBA: Dellavedova dishes career-high 13 assists
Cleveland guard Matthew Dellavedova clinched a career high 13 assists in today's 115-100 home win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Delly played almost 39 minutes and scored 7 points on 2 of 6 shooting for the night, along with a rebound and three turnovers (box score).
Right now, the 25 year old Dellavedova's role as a playmaker is keenly felt. He ended last season with an average of 3.0 assists per game. Right now, Delly is second on the team in assists per game (APG) at 5.9 (James leads at 6.1 APG).
At the same time, Dellavedova has proven himself to be one of the most impactful players on the team. He is third in +/- differential at 7.3, behind James (8.7) and Love (8.5). The numbers show a keen difference when Delly's back on the bench as well. It's still a relatively small sample size this early in the season, but the Cavs are +13.1 when Delly is on the court, and -1.1 when he's off.
