Aussies in NBA: Baynes scores season high against Rockets
The Big Banger played his heaviest minutes in the regular season so far, clocking 21 minutes for the first time, and delivered solid results. His previous minute highs this season was 19 minutes, against the Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves, both road games.
Aron Baynes season scoring highlights
https://youtu.be/06MISNNWg7c Aron Baynes scored a season-high 11 points on 5 of 8 shooting, along with 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block in the 116-105 home win against Houston (box score).
In contrast, Detroit center Andre Drummond clocked only 28 minutes, only the third time he's played less than 30 minutes this season, out of 18 game appearances so far.
It might seem like coach Stan Van Gundy might just be ready to ease the load on his star center, and let the Big Banger do his job after all. Baynes has proven himself capable of producing efficient results during his last season with the San Antonio Spurs, and this is just one more indication that he's ready to do so in a Pistons uniform.
Could this be the start of increased minutes for the Big Banger in the days ahead?
