It all came down to the last day of the regular season to decide who would make the WNBA playoffs as well as the seeding order. Now with it all set in stone, it’s time to focus on what promises to be an enthralling postseason.

There will be Australians playing key roles in the first round of the playoffs. The New York Liberty clinched their spot in the postseason after taking care of business against the Atlanta Dream on Monday (Australian time) to secure the seventh seed and will face the defending champion Chicago Sky. Bec Allen and Sami Whitcomb are vital pieces to New York’s puzzle, who are led by coach Sandy Brondello.

On the other side of the bracket is the Seattle Storm who finished in the fourth seed and will face the Washington Mystics in the first round. Ezi Magbegor, who was moved to the bench soon after Tina Charles arrived in Seattle, will still have a huge role to play in Seattle’s championship push, while Steph Talbot has been a spark off the bench all season with her versatility.
