With the WNBA season now officially underway, it’s time to look at how our Aussies fared as the season tipped off over weekend.
Sami Whitcomb and Sandy Brondello (New York Liberty)
The Sandy Brondello era in New York got off to a winning start on the weekend as the Liberty claimed a nail-biting and hardfought win over the powerhouse that is Connecticut. Sabrina Ionescu (25 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds) was the star of the show for New York, but Sami Whitcomb (15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists) was absolutely vital.
