A whopping 15 Australians were contracted to NBA clubs at the start of the 2025-26 season, which is enough to fill an entire Boomers roster. And that’s without including Ben Simmons or Patty Mills, who remain unsigned free agents, but could make an appearance later in the season.
Of these 15, Johnny Furphy and Luke Travers looked to build up on productive rookie campaigns, and four Aussies earned their first professional contract in the USA - Alex Toohey, Lachlan Olbrich, Rocco Zikarsky and Tyrese Proctor. Here’s a breakdown of how these aforementioned names have looked early into the season, as they aim to establish footing in the world’s premier basketball competition.
