Aussies in NBA: Thon Maker debuts for the Bucks
In the final minutes of yesterday's game between Detroit and Milwaukee, Thon Maker checked into his very first NBA game. Whilst he only saw 1:35 minutes of action, it is still an historic moment for the rookie.
Maker checked into the game and grabbed his first NBA rebound - off an Aron Baynes missed free throw. Maker's game time came when the game was all but over. Going forward, expect Maker to play very limited minutes for the Bucks as he continues to learn and grow as an NBA player. When he does get on the court, expect some full-court defence - which he provided in the final minute of yesterday's game.
The Bucks are off to a 1-2 start and aren't looking all that convincing, with their sole win coming against the Nets via a game-winning tip-in from John Henson. With some new core players, including Matthew Dellavedova, and Khris Middleton out for an extended time, the Bucks will take some time to figure things out.
