Mills finished the game with 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3PT), 2 steals and 1 assist in 24 minutes.
Mills’ final basket capped a big comeback by the Spurs who trailed by as much as 13 points with a little over 4 minutes to go.
The Spurs win improved their road record to a league-leading 15-1 and ended the Rockets 10-game winning streak.
After the game, Mills was at a loss to explain how he got so open for his game-winning shot, telling Yahoo Sports ''I have no clue, mate,''
''I didn't do anything other than just stand there. It was a (heck) of a pass right in the shot pocket,'' he said.

Mills is having the best season of his career so far. He is averaging career highs in points (11.3), assists (3.6), steals (0.9), minutes (23.1), FG% (.479) and 3P% (.430).
He has a strong case to be considered the best backup point guard in the NBA right now, and if he can keep up his good form a legit 6th man of the year contender.
Next up for Mills and the Spurs is a clash against the Clippers on Friday at 2.30pm (AEST).
