Aussies in NBA: Patty Mills scores season-high vs Blazers
Patty Mills had his big thrill pants on against the Blazers.
He equalled his season-high 23 points and helped lead the Spurs to the comfortable 110–90 win.
Mills shot a scorching 7-9 FG, 5-7 3PT, 4-5 FT, while adding 5 assists and 2 steals in 28 minutes off the bench.
It was a bounce-back game for Mills who had just 3 points and 1 assists against the Clippers the night before.
From the moment Mills stepped onto the Blazers court, he looked peppy and engaged.
His shot was liquid gold all game. He nailed his first four shots, and the ball repeatedly kissed nylon off his hands.

You knew Mills had entered a special shooting-zone when he pulled up for a deep three towards the end of the 3rd quarter. The shot had David Lee (a former Steph Curry teammate) laughing in disbelief.

Mills was a real pest on defense too. He buzzed in the grill of Blazers star Damian Lillard all game, helping hold the league's sixth leading scorer to his second-lowest point total this season (16).
Mills also had this impressive defensive sequence when he turned two steals into buckets on back-to-back plays:

This was another superb performance in what is shaping as Mill's career-best season.
