Aussies in NBA: Joe Ingles was the hero the Utah Jazz needed
When the Utah Jazz needed him most, Jinglin' Joe produced the goods.
With under 2 minutes remaining in yesterdays game against the Orlando Magic, Jazz guard Rodney Hood went down with a hyper-extended knee. The Jazz had a 5-point lead and the momentum, but had yet to close-out the game.
That was until Joe Ingles got involved.
Those two massive triples ensured the loss of Hood didn't halt Utah's momentum and further underlined just how important Jingles is to the Jazz.
Ingles played 10 minutes in total, finishing with 8 points (3/3FG), 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Along with his efficient offensive game, his defence was great too.
Fighting over a couple of screens to stay with Jodie Meeks on this very important possession was a huge effort.

After getting the 1114-107 win, the Jazz now sit at 26-16, good enough for 5th in the Western Conference.
The injury to Rodney Hood could see some extra minutes for Ingles in the near future, but thankfully Hood has escaped any structural damage. There is no doubt that Utah need Hood if they're going to make some noise in the West this season.
Tribune sources: Rodney Hood underwent an MRI this morning and has been diagnosed with a bone bruise. No other structural damage

After going 2/2 from deep against the Magic, Joe Ingles has regained the lead in the battle for best three point shooting percentage in the league. Keep shooting, Jinglin' Joe!
