Aussies in NBA: Joe Ingles battles with Kobe Bryant in his final game
Joe Ingles has played a role in history.
On a night ALL about Kobe Bryant (rightfully so), Ingles was in the midst of it all. Kobe went off and scored a miraculous SIXTY points, on a casual 50 shots, and Ingles had the opportunity to guard him in his final NBA game. What a night for Ingles to be a part of!
Ingles was trying his best to help his Utah team win, but unfortunately the Kobe show was just too much. In a fun game, full of highlights, Ingles traded triples with the Mamba throughout the night.

Ingles finished with 12 points (4/7 from deep), 4 assists, 2 steals and 1 rebound in 20 minutes. Slo-Mo Joe did well to maintain his composure in what was a distraction filled game. His shot had good rhythm to it and his play-making was also a bright spot for Utah.
Bryant managed to drain 6 triples, Ingles hit 4. The Mamba took 21 three-point shots, Jinglin' Joe took just 7.

It was a disappointing end to the season for the Jazz, missing the Playoffs and losing to the lowly Lakers on the final night of the season, but when Kobe decided it was time for him to takeover one final time there wasn't much Jingles or any of his teammates could do to stop him.
The Utah Jazz end the season with a record of 40-42, finishing ninth in the Western Conference. Whilst it's somewhat disheartening for them to once again be on the outside looking in, this was a solid season with plenty to build upon going forward. And let's not forget Dante Exum will be back next season.
