Aussies in NBA: Baynes tallies career high in steals
Aron Baynes notched his career high in steals against the Charlotte Hornets when his Detroit Pistons went down 104-84.
Baynes had never had more than 2 steals in a game before today, and was able to double that figure against the Hornets with 4.

Baynes was able to capitalise on a couple of errant passes into the post, one awful dribbling experience by Frank Kaminsky and by putting up the brick wall on a Jeremy Lin drive.

Baynes played a season-high 21 minutes due to Andre Drummond experiencing foul trouble and his 8 points was his 3rd highest score this season.
However, it was an opportunity lost for Baynes to put more points on the board as he missed his final three shots on some very gettable attempts.
Another positive was that he was part of a second unit who were able to peg back a 23 point deficit late in the 3rd quarter, down to 13 early in the 4th. Unfortunately for the Pistons, they would get no closer as the Hornets steadied and pulled away again.
Overall it was a good game individually from the Banger, despite the heavy loss.
This season, Baynes is averaging 4.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in 13 minutes of action.
