Angus Glover the latest Aussie to commit to Saint Mary's
Yet another Australian will be suiting up for the Saint Mary’s Gaels.
Angus Glover, a 2017 6’4 guard from Wollongong and current Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence (AIS) scholarship holder has officially announced his decision to join the Gaels, via his Twitter account.

Glover also had interest from Boise State, New Mexico, Oregon and Loyola Marymount before settling to commit with Saint Mary’s.
An offensive machine, Glover can score in a variety of ways. He is athletic enough to rise up for a dunk and finish around the basket but can also step outside and hit the jumper, with range going out to the three-point line. Glover played an instrumental role in guiding NSW Country to the 2015 U18 Australian Junior Championship title, scoring a game-high 24 points in the final.
Glover's outstanding form for NSW Country saw him selected to the Australian side for the 2015 FIBA U19 World Championships where he would suit up alongside current Gaels Kyle Clark, Jordan Hunter and Tanner Krebs. Glover averaged 3.8 points, 1.3 assists and 1.2 rebounds per game as Australia placed 7th, with Glover taking the reigns at the point for their last two games due to an injury sustained to team captain and SMU commit Tom Wilson.

Glover will be joining fellow Aussie Jock Perry, who has also committed to Saint Mary’s. This season, the Gaels had six Australians on the team - Dane Pineau, Jock Landale, Emmett Naar, Kyle Clark, Jordan Hunter and Tanner Krebs.
Saint Mary’s failed to qualify for the NCAA Tournament this season and were knocked out in the quarterfinal round of the NIT Tournament to Valparaiso. Glover was unable to play for the Emu's at the 2016 Albert Schweitzer Tournament held in Germany due to recovering from injury.
