For fans, the NBL offseason can be a cold, lonely place. The months in between the highs of the grand final series and the hope of a new season can feel like years, and round one can’t come quickly enough.

For the NBL’s clubs, though, the offseason is no time to rest. Championships aren’t won in the winter months, but there’s no doubt that the foundations for success, or for failure, are laid. There’s still more than two months until NBL27 tips off, but already, teams are making the moves that could define their season.
