Aleks Maric heads to Montenegro, will play in Eurocup
After playing with 4 different teams across last season, Australian center Aleks Maric has signed to play the 2015/16 season with Eurocup side KK Buducnost Voli Podgorica in Montenegro.
Maric joins the reigning Montenegro national league champions (Erste Liga), a side that also finished in 5th place in the Adriatic League last season. Maric has reportedly signed a 1 year deal.

Maric travelled far and wide during the 2014/15 season, starting with reigning Euroleague champions Maccabi Electra Tel Aviv where he posted 3.8 rebounds in 6 outings in the Israeli league. He moved to Turkish power Galatasaray Liv Hospital Istanbul momentarily, posting averages of just 1 point and 1.7 rebounds across 3 games. In playing for these two Euroleague teams, he logged 15 games for averages of 2 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9:20 minutes per game.
Seeking to increase his playing time, Maric moved to Petrochimi Bandar Imam Harbour in the Iranian Superleague. In 8 games, he was able to lift his production to 9.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. With the improved showing, Maric was snapped up by 2015 Eurocup runner-up Herbalife Gran Canaria as the Spanish side made a run at the Liga Endesa (ACB) title. While they bowed out of contention, he was able to deliver 3 points and 4.2 rebounds in his 5 games played.
Over recent seasons, 31 year old Maric has gone from a starter to playing a back up role. He will be looking to reignite his career with Buducnost this coming season.
