For the second consecutive season, Stanford’s Agnes Emma-Nnopu is the last Aussie standing in March Madness after the defending national champions edged past Kobe King-Hawea’s Texas side in the Elite Eight to claim back-to-back Final Four berths.

The weekend commenced with four women and one man representing Australia in the Sweet Sixteen, with three of those reaching the Elite Eight. However, that would be the end of the road for all bar Emma-Nnopu and Stanford, who now stand two wins from consecutive titles. To get there, they will first have to go through fellow bluebloods UConn, who edged past North Carolina State in a double overtime thriller in the Elite Eight to reach their 14th consecutive Final Four.
