Following in the footsteps of Boomers big men in Europe: Brock Motum
Brock Motum is another in a long line of Boomers big men to make his mark in Europe. He is following in the footsteps of the likes of Chris Anstey, Matt Neilsen, Aleks Maric, Aron Baynes, David Andersen and Nathan Jawai just to name a few of the standout names - all of whim represented Australia in international competition. He has enjoyed a great start to the season, including making the go-ahead put-back dunk in Zalgiris Kaunas' opening round Euroleague win, and has made himself at home in his new surroundings in Lithuania.
On the success of the likes of his current Australian Boomers team mates Andersen and Jawai, Motum acknowledged their success on the court in Europe, further outlining that he had received some advice on the Euroleague.
"They have had great success over here," expressed Motum.
"When I was on the national team over these last couple of summers, I've been talking with Dave [Andersen] and Nate [Jawai]to get a little bit of an insight about what it is and different clubs I think I've been able to learn a little bit from them, but the best way to learn is through doing it yourself."
