Daniels: Makur Maker eligible for 2020 NBA draft
According to Evan Daniels of 247Sports, NBA teams have been told that Makur Maker would be eligible for the upcoming 2020 NBA draft.
Prior to this, Maker had submitted a petition to the league on his draft eligibility last year, with the help from the NBA Players Association. Guardian Ed Smith confirmed that Maker, who transferred to Hillcrest Prep in December, will not make his decision on the draft yet. He was ranked 33rd on the ESPN mock draft in November last year.
Makur Maker, who is the cousin of Detroit Piston big man Thon Maker, is a 6'11 forward who possesses advanced ball handling skills, especially in transition.

"I think physically where he is, he’s ahead of Thon [Maker]," Smith also said. "The knowledge he’s gained from Thon and Matur and his understanding of the NBA game, the concepts, he’s way head of them."
According to Smith, Maker will be playing in the plans to play in the Iverson Classic All-Star game and likely in the Nike Hoop Summit in early April.
