Carchia: CSKA Moscow interested in Ryan Broekhoff
With the EuroLeague transfer window deadline ending today, Russian EuroLeague superpower CSKA Moscow is the latest European team to make an offer to former Dallas Mavericks player Ryan Broekhoff.
As first reported by Sportando's Emiliano Carchia via Twitter, CSKA Moscow have shown interest in the 2016 Rio Olympian, and as confirmed via Eurohoops.net, would need to cut a player from their roster in order to make room to accommodation any addition to the team.

Broekhoff's management is engaged in discussion with CSKA Moscow, although given the timeframe involved, it is believed a deal may not get over the line in time to beat the transfer deadline.
CSKA Moscow are the reigning VTB United League and EuroLeague champions, currently sitting fourth in the EuroLeague standings and second on the VTB United League table.
The interest from CSKA Moscow comes following reports that Greek giants Olympiacos Piraeus making an offer to Broekhoff within a day of being waived by the Mavericks on February 11.
As reported by Josh Halickman at the Sports Rabbi, Olympiacos offered Broekhoff a two-year deal that would have seen the Victorian sharpshooter return to Europe.
If he had of accepted the deal, he would have been playing under head coach Georgios Bartzok, one of his former coaches during his time Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia during the 2015/16 season.

The 29-year-old was only played in 17 games by the Mavericks this season, averaging 4.2 points and 2.5 rebounds in 10 minutes per game, while shooting the three-ball at an impressive 40.3% clip despite often coming off the bench cold.
The modern game covets players who boast size, versatility and three-point shooting, with Broekhoff checking off all three. While there are some NBA teams that could yet be interested and indeed sign Broekhoff for the remainder of the current season (read Jacob’s analysis here), a move back to Europe, at least in the short team could prove an attractive option for the former Lokomotiv Kuban star.
