Ben Simmons commits to Australian Boomers and likely World Cup campaign
Ben Simmons has made it official. He will be representing the Australian Boomers this year.
Speaking on a video posted to his official Twitter page, Simmons said that he is "going to be a Boomer for the upcoming events, so stay tuned."

While Simmons didn't guarantee that this will include the upcoming FIBA World Cup in China, there is now a very high likelihood the Philadelphia 76ers superstar will be in China.
Two marquee games against Team USA, in Simmons' hometown of Melbourne, will set the table for what promises to be one of the biggest stretches in Boomers history. The "events" that Simmons references will almost certainly include these two games.
Simmons' commitment is obviously a tremendous boost to the Boomers program. He gives the squad a legitimate NBA All-Star and with key members of the 2016 Olympic squad already committed, the Boomers will arguably field the second most talented team in China.
Stay tuned for more updates.
