Aussies in NBA: Bolden's versatility on full display in Sixers' comeback win
Jonah Bolden's block party ended today. Despite missing Markelle Fultz, the Philadelphia 76ers managed to regroup and take a 94-86 comeback victory against the San Antonio Spurs.
The forward finished with 16 points (5/10 FG, 3/6 3PT, 3/4FT), 3 steals, 2 assists, a team-high 8 rebounds, and surprisingly, zero blocks in 25 minutes of play.
Bolden missed his early shots, but hit a three midway in the first quarter. Bolden has not been shooting well in the Summer League so far, but the drought finally ended today; he went on to make half of his shots, most especially the ones from downtown.

Check out Bolden reading the defence correctly to make this bounce pass, that led to a bucket.

He was also showed his versatility on the pick and roll by popping out for the three, or rolling to the rim and getting an open dunk.
While Summer League play is no substitute for the actual NBA, Bolden might be proving that he belongs on this year's roster; his shooting and energy on both ends of the court makes him a valuable asset.
He's yet to prove how he can handle NBA-level competition, but at this point of time, developing Bolden with the rest of the Sixers' young core --versus another year of Europe stashing-- might be not be the worst idea out there.
