Aussies in NBA: Broekhoff to join Nuggets in Vegas Summer League
According to Hoops Hype, Ryan Broekhoff will be playing with the Denver Nuggets in the upcoming Las Vegas Summer League.
Broekhoff, who was showered with All-Star honours during his recent stint with Besiktas Integral Forex Istanbul in Turkey, has definitely matured and flourished in Europe this season.
Judging from his 10.9 points, 5.4 rebounding average during his latest season with Besiktas, it would not be surprising to see him putting numbers up in the upcoming Summer League.
“I have hopes, like all kids, to play in the NBA some day."
The 6 ft 7 forward had spoken to Daniel D'Alfonso about his dreams of joining the bright lights of the NBA in an earlier exclusive with The Pick and Roll.
“If one day I am good enough, then who knows, but I will just continue to work hard and put myself in positions to be successful.”
Could this be the beginnings of a pathway to the NBA for another of our Aussie men? It's too early to tell, but things could get interesting, depending on how the sharpshooting forward performs. Stay tuned.
