Aussies in NBA: Thon Maker injures wrist on first day of training camp
After a huge Summer League, and with excitement building around the 7-foot Aussie, Thon Maker has been sidelined with a wrist injury. The injury was sustained on the Bucks first day of training camp.
Charles Gardner was first to report the news.
Bucks rookie Thon Maker suffered sprained right wrist in opening practice Tues. and was sent back to Milwaukee to be evaluated.

This is obviously a blow to the progress that Maker had been making since being drafted by the Bucks with the 10th pick in the 2016 NBA draft, and there is no word yet on how serious the injury is.
Maker has Milwaukee Bucks fans and Australians salivating at what he could be on the court and whilst this may slow him down in the short-term, Maker will still provide plenty of highlight plays this coming NBA season.
Stay tuned to The Pick and Roll for updates as they come forward.
