Aleks Maric winds back the clock with big double-double
After taking 4 games to find his feet, Aleks Maric wound back the clock with a vintage performance to help guide his new club Budućnost VOLI Podgorica to a convincing 80-61 away victory over Tajfun in the Adriatic League.

As a starter for his Montenegrin side, Maric was impressive; connecting on 9/14 shots from the field on his way to a game-high 20 points and 10 rebound double-double. He also added 1 assist, 4 steals and 3 blocks for good measure in a complete performance by the imposing Australian center. It was a performance that saw the towering center named Adriatic League Player of the Week.
His new team utilised his strengths, subsequently running away with an impressive win to move into equal first place with a 4-1 record in what is a highly competitive league. After playing with 4 teams throughout 2014/15, early signs are promising that Maric has landed at a team that not only requires a big man with his skill set, but is also willing to utilise him effectively.
