Phillips, Jarry, Allen; Opals draw together in Queensland
In a campaign to gain as many WNBL fans as possible back to the South Queensland area, the new South East Queensland franchise has made a bold bid to ensure they're competitiveness in the 2015/16 season by today signing its third Australian Opal in Rebecca Allen.

Allen, who has starred for the Melbourne Boomers over the past two years, has now joined Opal teammates Erin Phillips and (also former Melbourne Boomer) Rachel Jarry.
The SEQ side, led by head coach Shane Heal, has gone about things the right way in terms of promoting a start up venture, as the club is on a successful path to creating a strong roster for the season ahead.
With three players signing on the dotted line, along with the quality of the signings, SEQ will only expect to get stronger having the ability to sign solid role players to adapt and play a defined role throughout the season.
While many features of the club are still to come, such as the team's name, SEQ fans will have world talent basketball on their doorstep as these three names (Phillips, Jarry, Allen) are just a sign of things to come!
*Team name will be determined through a social media campaign and hopes to play home games out of the Logan Sports Centre.
