EuroView: Motum with another offensive masterclass
Brock Motum continued his outstanding season by leading BC Žalgiris Kaunas to another win in Lithuania to maintain their dominance in the national league.
Fresh of another showcase performance in the EuroLeague last week, Motum translated that into an offensive masterclass in Žalgiris' 98-84 win against Pieno žvaigždės. The 6'10 Australian Boomer missed just one shot on his way to delivering a game-high 20 points (7/8 FG) that included 1/2 from long-range and a perfect 5/5 from the charity stripe. He was not flashy, just effective, and has been a shining light for his side this season. With yet another victory, Žalgiris maintain first place in the standings with an imposing 10-1 record, 2 games clear.

One of those teams on the heels of Žalgiris is Ben Madgen's Lietkabelis who held off Neptūnas to record a 77-66 win to improve their record to 9-3. Madgen played just 21 minutes and added 11 points as he made a living from the line, making all 7 of his free throws. He has fast become an integral component of Lietkabelis' structure and chances of toppling Žalgiris this season.

Tartu Rock maintained their dominance over the Estonian league with a 96-66 thrashing of third placed Rapla. Dynamic 6'8 forward Venky jois was at his efficient best, coming off the bench to contribute 15 points on 7/9 shooting with 6 rebounds and 1 block. Jois is third in the league for rebounding with 8.5 per game, and it is hard to see Tartu being challenged this season when they can afford to bring Jois off the bench.
In the VTB United League, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar started slowly in their road game against Avtodor. After trailing for most of the first half, the visitors would open the third term on a 6-0 run to take back the lead. Despite leading by as many as 7 points in the final 2 minutes, Avtodor would storm home with the home crowd support. While Lokomotiv had a chance to ice the game, Avtodor would force an extra period of time. In overtime, Lokomotiv put the game beyond reach thanks to a blistering 10-0 run as they prevailed 88-79, with Ryan Broekhoff delivering 10 points (2/4 3PT) with 7 rebounds in 28 minutes as he continues to show signs he is returning back to his best.

Dan Trist is starting to make his mark in Denmark, compiling 12 points and 3 rebounds in Horsens IC 95-89 win against Naestved. Horsens led early and remained in control throughout, with Trist being given a green-light to blow off his rust, going just 5/16 from the field. He was one of 5 players to score in double figures as his side remains in first place with an unblemished 7-0 record in the Danish League.
